AI Security Engineer

Takes the lead on AI security within Plaid's Platform Security team, which also covers laptop and cloud security, detection and response, and red teaming. The engineer reviews new AI systems and integrations for risk before and after launch, designs guardrails and sandboxes that limit what AI agents can do, builds or adopts systems to track AI identities and the access each one holds, detects and mitigates prompt injection, and sets the standard for AI security reviews across the company.

Plaid wants three to six years of experience including hands-on AI security work such as guardrails, AI identity management, prompt injection defence or AI security tooling. A background in cloud, infrastructure or detection and response security, or at a frontier AI lab, is a plus. Hybrid, listed at the Seattle office.
