Application Security Engineer - Senior

Provides security engineering and sustainment for a federal agency's application systems across their lifecycle, working within Accenture Federal Services' Cyber Mission team and alongside the agency's SOC. The engineer administers, tunes and secures applications to head off POA&M findings, adds machine learning and AI capabilities to the security tooling the agency uses, supports ISSOs through ATO documentation, runs weekly security impact assessments and vendor product evaluations, keeps monitoring and alerting in place, and supports logging compliance and vulnerability management.

The team wants five years in systems, database, network or software work focused on cybersecurity, or three with a relevant degree, and an active TS/SCI clearance; Security+ and AWS Security Specialty are pluses. Based in Leesburg, VA.
