About the role
A cloud security engineer in GuidePoint Security's Federal region, working fully on site in Reston, Virginia for intelligence community clients. The engineer supports the documentation, assessment and accreditation work that shows IT systems meet information assurance requirements, compares actual system state against defined risk thresholds, checks software against assurance practices, recommends security tools for on-premises, cloud and hybrid estates, and then implements the cloud security architectures and processes they helped design.
An active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to sit a polygraph are required, along with five or more years building and running cloud environments, infrastructure as code, RMF experience and security documentation such as system security plans. DoD 8570 CSSP-IS and IAT Level III certifications must be earned soon after hire.
