Head of Product
Finite State · United States
About the role
Leads product at Finite State, setting strategy and building the product team for the company's security platform as it enters a new growth stage. The head reports to the COO, works remotely in the US and travels about a quarter of the time.
The role shapes the multi-year product strategy and a roadmap tied to retention, expansion, time to value and win rate, works with finance and sales on packaging and pricing, including how AI features are charged for, owns the margin effect of what ships, and presents strategy to the board and investors. On the security side, the head treats finding quality, meaning accuracy, coverage and false positive rate, as a core metric; turns new threats and vulnerability classes from the research and threat intelligence teams into product; sets requirements for secure development, tenant isolation and the SOC 2, ISO 27001 and FedRAMP certifications that enterprise and public sector buyers need; decides across SaaS, on-premises and air-gapped deployment; and sets governance for AI agents, including human oversight, data residency and resistance to prompt injection. Integration strategy, turning regulation into usable capabilities, discovery with CISOs and practitioners, competitive and analyst positioning, and support for strategic deals also sit with the role.
Finite State wants ten or more years of product management, four or more leading product teams at an enterprise B2B SaaS company, direct ownership of cybersecurity or similarly technical products, a record of moving retention or deal size, and hands-on experience shipping AI or ML features.
