Head of Security & Network Operations

Leads PDI Technologies' combined security and network operations, the customer-facing managed services that monitor and protect thousands of convenience retail and fuel locations around the clock. The role reports to the SVP & GM, manages about five direct reports running the SOC, the NOC and the Threat Intelligence & Detection function, and owns the operating budget, headcount plan and tooling and vendor spend.

The head designs the operating model for the merged organisation, deciding how shifts are split between domestic and offshore staff and which security and network functions combine or remain separate, and standardises escalation paths and playbooks. On the security side the job covers 24/7 monitoring, triage, investigation and incident response for customer environments, with threat intelligence feeding detection and hunting; on the network side it covers managed firewall, SD-WAN, switching and wireless services and carrier escalations. The leader takes charge of high-severity incidents and their customer and executive communications, sets a multi-year roadmap for SIEM, SOAR and monitoring tools with a push toward AI-assisted automation, and acts as executive sponsor for major customers. Performance is judged on detection and response times, uptime, alert quality and cost to serve.

PDI wants twelve or more years in security, network or infrastructure operations, seven of them in leadership including managing managers, experience running a 24/7 operation of more than 100 people, and budget ownership. A security background is preferred. The role is remote in the US with some international travel.
