Manager, Product Security Foundations
Anduril Industries · Costa Mesa, California, United States
About the role
Leads a security engineering team in Anduril's Product Security organisation that builds reusable, foundational security components for the company's defense products. The manager owns the product security roadmap and works across Anduril's engineering groups so that its products hold up against modern cyber threats.
The job is hands-on as well as strategic. The manager runs complex security architecture reviews, researches and mitigates exploits against hardware and software, and implements security features alongside product engineers to make systems more resilient. The role partners with engineering teams on a roadmap covering the global portfolio, pushes remediation of weaknesses found in designs, implementations, integrations and processes, and owns the pre-market and post-market security processes engineers follow through the product lifecycle.
Anduril is looking for an electrical or software engineer by training who has specialised in platform security, programming skill in languages such as C/C++, Go, Rust or Python, and a record of shipping production systems, particularly embedded or Linux. Experience assessing and improving the security of firmware, applications, networks, IoT or embedded systems, plus familiarity with anti-tamper, reverse engineering and secure SDLC practice, is required. Preferred extras include embedded, aerospace or cyber-physical security architecture, endpoint detection and response, secure key provisioning in factories, programmable logic devices, threat actor knowledge for weapons and space systems, and incident response in cloud and embedded systems. Candidates must be eligible for a U.S. Top Secret clearance. Based in Costa Mesa.
