About the role
Owns product and application security at Parallel, including defences for its agentic systems that read untrusted web content. The engineer fixes vulnerabilities as they surface and then changes libraries, frameworks and defaults so the same class of bug is harder to reintroduce, creates standard building blocks for auth, data handling and outbound requests, designs controls for enterprise customers, and makes security review part of everyday development rather than a final gate.
Parallel wants significant software engineering experience with several years in application security, strong web and API security knowledge (SSRF, IDOR, injection, tenant isolation), experience building security tooling on current AI models, and production Python, Go or TypeScript. On site in San Francisco or Palo Alto.
