Member of Technical Staff (Security)

First engineer to own end-to-end product security at Footprint, which verifies identities and vaults PII for banks and fintechs. The role reports to the Head of Engineering and is on-site in New York City.

The engineer assesses and hardens the Nitro Enclave-backed vault (encryption, key management, attestation, the append-only audit ledger and tenant isolation), sets standards for the Modal sandboxes where Percy AI agents act on live PII, reviews the SDK data path and the document pipeline against forgery, owns product-security controls in SOC 2, PCI DSS and ISO 27001, runs pentests and drives remediation, and builds CI/CD security gates. Footprint wants five or more years of application or infrastructure security engineering, offensive experience, hands-on AWS security and audit evidence work. Rust, TEEs and AI agent security are pluses.
