About the role
A consulting engineer on GuidePoint Security's Microsoft Cloud Security team who delivers hands-on client projects, mostly on identity with Entra ID and data protection with Purview, plus some Intune and Defender XDR. Typical tasks include Conditional Access, MFA and passwordless rollouts, PIM and access reviews, SSO and SCIM integrations, investigating identity risk, and building sensitivity labels, DLP and retention policies. The engineer runs their own engagements against an 80 percent billable target.
GuidePoint wants two to five years of IT admin, identity or security operations work, production Entra ID and Active Directory experience, knowledge of SAML, OIDC and Kerberos, Purview implementation work and basic PowerShell. Fully remote with little travel.
