Network Security Engineer

A network security engineer with GuidePoint Security's federal business who helps design, build and sustain network-based cyber defences at government sites around the Washington, DC area. The engineer plans and applies next-generation firewall policy changes, manages load balancer configuration including TLS break-and-inspect, works with IPS, packet capture, mail gateway and malware defence tools, helps shape a worldwide network security architecture, supports incident investigations and briefs contract and government leadership on posture.

An active TS/SCI clearance is required before consideration, with a polygraph preferred, along with experience on products such as Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, F5, Cisco FTD, Gigamon and NetWitness and at least Security+ for DoD 8570 IAT Level II. Fully on site.
