Partner 20, Staff Security Technical Program Manager

Runs the operating rhythm of a16z's Security team as its Staff Security Technical Program Manager, with direct ownership of the firm's vulnerability management program. The TPM gathers findings from threat models, code reviews, pen tests, audits and postmortems into one tracked remediation backlog with owners and SLAs, oversees scan coverage, patching, exceptions and risk reporting, keeps vendor security reviews moving, and steers cross-team initiatives involving Security, IT, Legal, HR and Compliance. Sprint planning, OKRs, documentation and program metrics also sit with this role.

The firm wants seven or more years of technical program management, three running security programs, a record of running vulnerability management at scale, and enough technical fluency to challenge a risk rating. Hybrid, two days a week in San Francisco.
