Principal Security Operations Engineer

A principal engineer in Axon's information security organisation who sets the technical strategy for securing its cloud-native infrastructure, especially Kubernetes and AWS and Azure environments. The role has no direct reports and can be based in Seattle, Scottsdale, Boston, Atlanta or San Francisco.

The engineer reviews Axon's Kubernetes platforms with the platform teams, rebuilds how security services are deployed and run, adds automated guardrails to CI/CD pipelines, provisions infrastructure for security platforms as code, improves security telemetry and alerting, and leads technically during serious incidents. Axon wants more than ten years in security, platform or infrastructure engineering, expert Kubernetes and container security, deep AWS or Azure skills, Go or Python, and Terraform or Helm. PKI experience is a plus.
