Security Analyst II

Security Analyst II in Cyderes's managed security services operation, investigating threats in client environments. The role works the first shift, Sunday to Wednesday, and takes turns on call outside office hours, acting as incident controller.

The analyst triages and analyses alerts across endpoints, servers and networks, hunts for threats in customer networks, scopes and coordinates incident investigations, maps client use cases to MITRE ATT&CK, digs into raw SIEM logs for escalations, and keeps runbooks current. Cyderes wants three or more years in IT security, system administration across Windows, Linux and Mac, solid networking knowledge, hands-on EDR and SIEM experience, basic scripting, and a certification such as Security+, CEH, a GIAC credential or OSCP, or progress toward one.
