Security Consulting Manager

Accenture Federal Services  ·  Fort Belvoir, VA

About the role

Manages cybersecurity compliance and infrastructure security for a client's self-hosted ServiceNow deployment running in AWS government cloud, working in Accenture Federal Services' Cyber Strategy, Risk and Architecture practice at Fort Belvoir.

The manager sets the security strategy for the platform's infrastructure and cloud layers in line with business risk, and leads the design and rollout of automated controls across AWS, Azure, GCP and on-premise systems. That covers securing networks, servers, authentication systems and operational tools, setting controls for certificate lifecycles, cloud IAM and credential handling, and keeping security strong through cloud migration work. The role represents the security engineering view whenever architecture is reviewed, incidents are handled or compliance work is under way, looks for automation that reduces outages and improves resilience, and mentors and develops engineers.

Accenture wants ten years of hands-on security engineering, five of them in cloud security, deep knowledge of Linux and Windows server security and enterprise network design, advanced scripting in Python, Bash or Go, and some thought about using AI in day-to-day work. CISSP, CISA or CISM, AWS certifications, XACTA or eMASS experience, infrastructure-as-code tools, PKI and modern IAM knowledge, and familiarity with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 are pluses. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
