About the role
A security engineer in the Applied Research & Labs function within Cloudflare's Office of the CSO, building agentic security tooling for Cloudflare's security teams and releasing it as open-source reference implementations, hands-on labs and workshops for customers and partners.
The engineer builds multi-agent security workflows and evaluation harnesses on Workers, Durable Objects and the Agents SDK, designs and runs lab infrastructure, leads workshops and conference talks, and writes technical deep dives. Cloudflare wants four or more years shipping production software, experience building interactive labs or training environments, TypeScript or Python, hands-on LLM agent work, and working knowledge of application and infrastructure security. Based in Austin, with 15 to 25 percent travel.
