About the role
Remote US opening for a security engineer on Flexport's Corporate Security team within Platform, Security & Infrastructure. The team secures the estate every employee touches, from laptops and the identity provider to SaaS tools and the browser, and treats the work as engineering rather than help-desk support.
The work covers identity hardening (SSO coverage, phishing-resistant MFA, SCIM automation, least privilege), detections for account takeover, MFA fatigue and session theft, device configuration and remediation as code across macOS and Windows, EDR coverage, SaaS posture management including risky OAuth grants and shadow IT, and automating provisioning, access reviews and questionnaires. Flexport looks for about two to five years in corporate or IT security engineering, endpoint and EDR tools such as Jamf, Intune or CrowdStrike, identity protocol knowledge, and the ability to write real automation.
