Senior Director, Cybersecurity Operations & Compliance

Senior director at DDN who runs cybersecurity operations and the compliance programme together, from the Santa Clara office. The role spans SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification, endpoint security, vulnerability management, threat hunting and incident response.

On compliance, the director sets the roadmap and leads the SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification work, and partners with IT, Legal and Internal Audit on security policy for internal systems. On operations, the role builds and runs threat and vulnerability management and capabilities for threat hunting, event analysis and incident response, serves as the final escalation point and leads containment during incidents, administers the SIEM hands-on, does complex analysis including malware work, and manages threat intelligence feeds so indicators reach the right systems. The director also steers the End-User Services team on endpoint protection, device management and conditional access, works with the IAM team on identity posture and guardrails for AI, leads security technology selection, and develops the team.

DDN wants ten or more years in cybersecurity operations, five or more leading security teams, ownership of strategy and budgets, experience across on-premises or colocation and public cloud, and deep knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and DORA, plus grounding in disaster recovery and business continuity.
