Senior Group Product Manager (Apono)
1Password · United States
About the role
Leads the product team at Apono, the just-in-time access governance company now owned by 1Password, with responsibility for the whole Apono platform and how it integrates with 1Password. The role reports to the Director of Product and manages a team of product managers.
The group product manager is responsible for making the platform feel like one coherent product, pulling its separate product areas, integrations, workflows and user experience in a single direction. That means owning roadmap execution and its trade-offs, steering release planning from dependencies and scope changes through launch readiness and the lessons learned afterwards, and keeping the Director of Product informed on progress, risk and impact. The manager coaches PMs to find real customer problems, test assumptions and ship focused MVPs, works alongside engineering, design, customer success and the go-to-market teams, and talks directly with customers and prospects about the access management problems they face.
Apono wants at least eight years of B2B product management covering broad product areas or platforms, two or more of them leading or managing PMs, plus hands-on work with enterprise customers, technical buyers and security teams. A background in cybersecurity, IAM, privileged access management, cloud infrastructure or DevOps is expected, and familiarity with AI, automation or agentic workflows helps. The role is remote in the US, with a preference for candidates on the East Coast.
