Senior Security Engineer (Infrastructure)

A senior security engineer who builds and secures Chainguard's multi-cloud infrastructure, the same environment its product runs on. The role reports to the Sr Director of Cyber Resiliency and spends time embedded with product engineering pods.

The engineer designs and hardens cloud environments, works with IAM colleagues on identity and access across clouds, builds Terraform, Kubernetes and pipeline guardrails, runs cloud disaster recovery exercises, secures infrastructure behind AI and agentic workflows, and helps with incident investigations. Chainguard wants strong hands-on GCP or AWS engineering, a solid DevOps background with Terraform, GKE and CI/CD, a record of designing secure and resilient systems, and comfort with fast change. Azure and late-stage startup experience are pluses.
