About the role
Remote US posting for a Senior Systems Engineer (Identity & Access) in Flexport IT, acting as the resident Okta specialist while also covering the company's SaaS tools and device fleet.
Day to day, the engineer designs and maintains the identity lifecycle, administers Okta, MFA and directory services, builds automated joiner and leaver workflows, runs access governance through RBAC, entitlement reviews and certifications, leads SSO onboarding of new applications, manages Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack and Jira, and oversees Mac and Windows devices through Jamf and Intune, partnering with the security team throughout. The aim is to automate repetitive operations away within 18 months. Flexport asks for five or more years of IAM engineering with a broad IT background, deep Okta mastery, identity protocol knowledge and scripting.
