Software Engineer, Infrastructure Security
Notion · San Francisco, California
About the role
Software engineer at the IC4 level on Notion's Infrastructure Security team, which builds secure-by-default foundations across the company's technical stacks. The engineer owns infrastructure security problems from spotting the risk to shipping controls that scale: improving the posture of Notion's AWS accounts, creating frameworks for secrets management and authentication and authorisation, designing and deploying IAM, advising partner teams on security and privacy, and helping drive mitigation during incidents.
Notion looks for experience building systems that secure cloud architectures, production-grade backend or infrastructure coding, comfort debugging live systems and risk-based threat modelling; deep AWS and IAM expertise, zero trust or privacy engineering are pluses. The role is hybrid in San Francisco or New York, with three office days a week.
