Sr. Manager, Security Engineering
6sense · United States, Remote
About the role
Leads security engineering at 6sense, the function that protects its AI-enabled, cloud-native SaaS platform. The role sits in the CISO's organisation within Business Technology and owns three teams (Application/Product Security, Infrastructure Security and Vulnerability Operations), with managers and engineers spread across the United States and India.
The senior manager is expected to merge the three teams into one operating model and run it across time zones with clear handoffs and escalation. On the product side that means owning the security strategy for AI features, from threat modelling and design review to testing and release, with attention to prompt injection, agent permissions, data exposure and model supply chain risk, as well as the secure development lifecycle, penetration testing, security champions and bug bounty. Vulnerability work runs from discovery to verified remediation across code, cloud, containers and endpoints, prioritised by exploitability, exposure and asset value rather than severity alone, and extends to software supply chain coverage. In AWS the team owns preventive and detective guardrails, least privilege and segmentation. The manager also builds the multi-quarter roadmap, OKRs and risk indicators, rationalises tooling, and supports SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
6sense wants eight or more years in information security with substantial product security, cloud security or vulnerability management depth, at least three years leading security engineering teams including distributed ones, ideally managers too, and working knowledge of LLM and agentic security risks. The role is remote in the United States.
