Staff Backend Engineer, SOC & Threat Hunting

A staff backend engineer building the tools that threat hunters, SOC analysts and incident responders use inside the Censys Platform, centred on its Adversary Investigation module. The role is fully remote in the US or Canada.

The engineer designs resilient APIs and scalable Go microservices behind the module, integrates internal systems and outside APIs to power data-heavy investigation workflows, and owns the full cycle from automated builds and tests to deployment and monitoring, working with product, design and frontend colleagues. Censys wants ten or more years building distributed web applications and APIs, microservices experience, Go or a similar language with willingness to work in Go, cloud and Docker experience, and a commitment to test coverage and maintainable code. Kafka or Pub/Sub, Kubernetes and React are pluses.
