Staff Security Engineer

Senior staff security architect at DDN who designs and drives end-to-end security architecture for the company's distributed storage platforms, including S3-compatible storage, POSIX file systems and KV cache data services for AI workloads. Based in Santa Clara.

The architect works with data path, control plane and protocol teams on encryption and integrity in the data path, IAM with LDAP, Active Directory, OIDC and Keycloak, RBAC and ABAC authorisation, tenant isolation, secure APIs and request signing, and monitoring for abnormal access and exfiltration, while leading threat modelling and secure development practice. DDN wants 12 or more years across distributed systems, infrastructure security or security architecture, with deep encryption, key management and IAM expertise and experience integrating external KMS through KMIP.
