Staff Security Engineer, Risk Engineering

Staff Security Engineer on Anthropic's Security Risk team, which is rebuilding risk management as an engineering discipline with automation and AI-native tooling. The engineer takes on the company's hardest security risk problems across identity and secrets, developer security and supply chain, infrastructure and secure frameworks, putting defensible severity and likelihood on them and seeing them through escalation, treatment and remediation. The role builds quantification tooling, Claude-based intake and triage, and dashboards that show teams their own risk posture, pressure-tests architectures alongside Security Engineering, designs remediation roadmaps and mentors engineers and risk practitioners.

Anthropic wants eight or more years in software or security engineering, including independently driving complex risks to remediation, strong Python or a systems language, broad security engineering knowledge with depth in one domain, and calibrated risk judgment.
