Staff Security Engineer, Security Incident Response

A senior individual contributor on 1Password's Security Incident Response team, reporting to the Manager, Security Incident Response. The engineer acts as incident manager and escalation point for the most serious events, builds AI-assisted and automated systems that speed up triage, investigation and containment while keeping human approval, audit trails and rollback in place, and runs the team's tabletop exercises and gamedays. The role also advances threat hunting and insider risk work, plans multi-quarter maturity projects, mentors other engineers and shares tooling with PSIRT, Privacy and Engineering.

1Password wants seasoned incident command experience, strong software engineering skills, and depth in cloud-native, SaaS and identity attack techniques. Remote in the US or Canada.
