Staff+ Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Products

Staff-plus software engineer on the team building Claude Security, Anthropic's security product, turning new security capabilities in frontier models into features customers can depend on. The engineer works across the stack from prototype to production: building user-facing and backend features, the agent loops, tool integrations and infrastructure behind cybersecurity products, and iterating on user feedback. The role sits between research and go-to-market, so it involves learning what the models can and cannot do, understanding which customer problems matter, and owning sizeable parts of the roadmap, including what to drop.

The team wants seven or more years as a software engineer working across front end and back end, TypeScript, Python or Go, and distributed systems experience. Prior security work such as incident response, reverse engineering or penetration testing helps but is not required. Based in San Francisco.
