Staff+ Software Engineer, GRC Platform

Staff-plus software engineer and early member of the team building Anthropic's governance, risk and compliance platform. Compliance data is scattered across cloud infrastructure, identity providers, HR systems and code repositories, and this engineer builds the pipelines, integrations and services that pull it together into automated checks, live dashboards and audit evidence. The work includes converting policy documents and regulations into enforceable policy-as-code, designing agentic workflows in which Claude analyses evidence and monitors controls, making architectural choices for the platform, and running it reliably for audits and executive reporting.

The posting asks for eight or more years building backend systems, data pipelines or internal platforms, ideally as a tech lead, depth in integration engineering or data infrastructure, Python or Go, cloud and infrastructure as code. Compliance experience is not required.
