Staff+ Software Security Engineer

Staff-plus engineer on Anthropic's Security Engineering team, which designs authentication for training infrastructure, cryptographic protection for model weights and training data, and the developer security program. The engineer owns one or two of the team's areas, developer security and supply chain, identity and secrets management, infrastructure security or secure frameworks, and contributes to the rest, building complex systems end to end in largely greenfield territory. Work ranges from hardening CI/CD against supply chain attacks and running credential issuance and workload authentication to cloud and Kubernetes controls, posture management and shared frameworks for mTLS, serialization and authorization. Mentoring and helping other teams own their security are part of it.

Anthropic wants eight or more years of software engineering with deep security expertise and independent leadership of complex initiatives, strong Python or a systems language, and deep knowledge of identity, cryptography, secrets and Kubernetes security.
